Hi all,
I've recently opened a few ports on my router to allow me to access OpenWibif remotely and watch my TV on the go via the zGemma. I was doing some troubleshooting today and found a few 'rogue' IP addresses are port scanning and have found port 8001 is streaming content.
To try and lock it down I've already enabled HTTP authentication on both the web gui and the stream - but I can't seem to find a way via the plugin menu to change the default stream port of 8001. I want to change this as most scanners will be looking for 8001.
A couple of suggestions pointed to adding a config.OpenWebif.streamport=portnumber line in the settings file at etc/enigma2 but this does not seem to work and the settings file gets overwritten when the box is restarted.
Is there a way to change the default stream port at all via editing a config file?
Currently in settings I've got:
config.OpenWebif.port=portnumber
config.OpenWebif.auth=true
config.OpenWebif.auth_for_streaming=true
And all 3 survive reboot after reboot.
Any help appreciated, TC.
