Channels freezing / black screen

Hello all,

Well I’m actually considering going back to vermin services as my zgemma is really peeing me off! Never ever thought I’d say that!!

Some of my channels are freezing every few minutes or so and some just don’t even work. Here’s my setup...

Zgemma h2h
Biohead image (have tried all others but same outcome)
5-1000mhz splitter
100mb broadband with super hub 3
Line uploaded (have even tried test lines from elsewhere)

I have entered correct netid for my area.

It’s channels like, music channels, spike, blaze, itv4 hd, dmax , even bbc one hd sometimes freezes plus some more. Sports channels and movie channels are fine.

I just don’t no if my setup is correct either on the box, or with my coaxial setup.

Any help would be much appreciated.

have you tried an autoboquets scan?
menu-setup-servicesearching-autobouqetsmaker-update config-start scan...

you're not going to find a line where all the unpopular channels work perfectly all the time.
This is CS for you. you get the premiums and 90% of the others are good for 90% of the time
you seem to have purposely picked the worst channels - do you actually regularly watch these channels? - if they are your regular viewing, you may be as well giving VM a ring but expect tp pay 700 per year

I don’t even think 90% of them work 100% always freezing every few minutes.

Yes i watch these channels selected.

Why is this? Dylan is right, it is frustrating, Boxnation is similar and also the channels he mentioned. But saying that it's better than paying full whack. For the sake of some them channels get a freeview box

so i cant get all sly channels for £10 on ebay?!?!?!:(

These were just a few channels I mentioned but there are other, I maybe thought something to do with my router setup? But I’m guessing that would affect all channels?

What I’m saying is it never use to be like this a few month ago, just started doing this the last month.

It depends, some channels aren't as strong as others, if you have a weak signal, those will suffer first
Are you using VM broadband? - check the signal logs - on the side or bottom of the router there should be a 'settings password'
type 192.168.0.1 into a browser and click enter, use that password to log into the router

advanced settings
tools>network status> click on downstream tab
copy and paste the snr and dbmv data here

Am no expert on this, but if all other channels are working ie the premium ones, wouldn't it just be like you said the non premium channels aren't 100% ie because not as many real cards are bought for them channels cos there's not as many watching them at 1 time, rather than a splitter issue. I've got a similar problem and virmin themselves installed my splitters.

Yeah, I explained this further up the thread but the OP went on to say 100% of his channels were freezing

Could u provide me a test line to check incase it’s duff lines I’ve tried with? Probably not the right place to ask but I’m needing a reliable person that I no has a line that works.

I'm having the exact same problems as mentioned above, the sports and movies are great but go into BBC1 HD, ITV HD and loads of other channels such as TLC, Universal etc that the other half would use and they are unwatchable. l am using a zgemma box running wooshbuild with the virgin 3 router beside the tv. Help please.

Please note most Servers are experience ECM timing problems.
On Cable these usually update approx every 10 seconds however of late the time intervals have been erratic which is causing glitching problems.

Thanks for the reply but it has been happening for a long time and on different providers. l think maybe a set up problem
