Copy VIX image question?

Hello, I need some advice please.

I have a new Technomate TM Twin running latest VIX image. I have it all setup with ABM, EPG, etc etc. Basically all the settings are the way I like them.

I have another Technomate TM Twin running an older version of VIX that I want to setup exactly like my new one. Am I correct in saying the following:

1 - Flash older receiver via usb with same VIX as new receiver.
2 - Make a settings backup of new receiver to USB using "backup manager"
3 - Use this USB to restore those exact settings to older receiver.
4 - All recordings on Hard Drive of old receiver will be untouched.

Any help would be appreciated...
 
It's the same model, as in they are both TM-TWIN-OE, just purchased 18 months apart.

So what you are saying is:
1 - create a full image backup to USB using Image Manager on the new receiver and
2 - then use this to flash the older one?

Is this right?

Thanks, I never thought of this, and the sub is not multi box.
Will I be safe enough deleting sub from second receiver immediately after flash, or should I remove it from new receiver before I make the full image backup?
 
You should be ok. If you're worried turn the cam off on your first box before you delete off second then turn it back on
 
The supplier probably won’t care if it’s just a few minutes. Turn off the first box if you’re worried then there’s no risk.
