Deleting safari history

Does anyone know why when I delete my safari browser history it deletes all my saved passwords on my forums etc???

It didn't use to do this is there a setting I can change or clear bowser history a different way ?

It does sign you out everywhere for some reason. You should be able to "Autofill" passwords when signing back in though. It remembers those.

As mad has said it should 'Autofill' your passwords when you next visit a page that requires a login.

If it doesn't do that if you click in either the Username or the Password box (on a Mac) a little key icon will appear which you can click and choose the credentials for the site your visiting.
