dns address change over

lads, I got an email off my server, two of them, and they're asking me to change over to their new dns address.
I'm going to be honest and say I don't know what they're talking about so if anyone can give me any info on how to do this

Did they give you the new address?.is it like an ip as appose to an email looking address?

i got an email aswell i havnt a clue what to do any help would be great ive got a email with the new dns but dont know where to start
