Download speed needed for IPTV on VPN router

Hi Guys,
I am getting a new router for my VPN to service my ZGemma box, I have 2 options a Linksys e900 which can give roughly 6mbs download speed or an Asus RT-AC51U router which apparently has download speeds of up to 50mbs, my current internet provider only has download speeds of roughly 20-23mbs

Is 6mbs a good enough download speed for an IPTV service or should I go with the faster one?

6mb is a tad low especially if gonna stream full HD I always say 10 and above to be safe

I did some tests on IPTV with my H2H - I am on a VM 300Mb and have a dedicated pfsense appliance box as my router

During the game last night I monitored the bandwidth my H2H required this it was between 3Mb/sec and 6MB/sec - This was on HD.

Sounds about at 6mb but would risk the congestion on the VPN servers at certain times always cover your azz do it right first time won't need a second time

My mate had 8Mbps when the footy was on, was unwatchable.

Hooked the box up in mine at 20Mbps, the service was fine, game was still on
so wasn't a server issue, purly down to speed.
