Drill bit size

Hi

I have the standard twin shotgun style cable think it's 10mm.

I am drilling through 350mm of masonary/brick.

Would a 12mm drill bit be ok before I buy one.

Sounds about right.

Cool. Wasn't sure if the cable would thread through the hole okay or if it would be too tight.

12 mm for a 10mm cable should be plenty, no need to go much bigger as you would then end up filling in the gap to stop draughts.

mind put drip loop on cable so take cable just below hole then up into hole so water drips off that loop and not in to equipment as water will run right down cable to box
