Dvb-c tuners in box

hi just say if this is right or wrong as I tried on a couple of other sites and the threads got closed, I am currently running a twin dvb-s through a motorised dish and I liked the look of the new 4K TM box, so I asked what the dvb-c tuners were for and that was a big no no.

So are they only used for lines in the U.K. That's all I wanted to know for a first question ?

Mainly used to receive cable signal for virmin which allows access to HD channel.

Well unless you're planning on moving abroad you'll have trouble using lines outside the UK through the DVB-C tuners.

Yes but presumably he's UK based, so he'll only have access to UK cable unless he moves countries...

Thanks all I had no intention of going down the dvb-c route I was quite happy with dvb-s but thought when I was looking for a new box why not.

Reason for asking was why was the box or any box made for the UK market with dvb-c tuners, what was there main use marketed for ?

So you can use cable? Which gives you back the vast majority of HD channels.

cable box will only work with a live vm feed,if no feed the box wont work.
there were hundreds of thousands of cable boxes working with pre n3 like starview,eurovox,digivox etc.

another box the kv/phoenix 850 hd was dvb/t until box was flashed to dvb/c.
