OTHER Edison on openvix

hi guys hoping someone can help

Mates had a box for ages and asked if I can update the software as he’s getting narrating over the movies and sports channels and I know updating openvox software fixed this when I last did it last year but I’ve gone to run a software update but saying failed everytime and I can’t update openvox using the update software option on the menus

Any ideas why this might be as everything works fine just want rid off the marrying or is there an easier way without updating the whole lot

Probably an older version so can’t be updated the usual way, do a backup then go to image manager then downloads and download the latest then flash and do a settings restore

Depending on what image is on it might not be compatible,always have a copy of line and cfg before doing anything

I’ve gone onto the download but says this at the top

I have my own panel so have access to the line details anyways but thanks mate

If he's had it ages it will be OpenViX 5.1 and will need updating by USB
