Been trying to research and understand how/what/where firmware for different sat boxes and cant get my head around it.
I understand that the Blade is close source so limited firmware, I just bought a BM5000s, who develops these?
And Enigma 2 is open source as the VU+, etc. who develops these?
My main question is, can any enigma 2 image go on any open source box? Or are there certain types for each.
Also, does the firmware hold the menus, whole os, etc, or are firmware just patches to the existing os installed?
All these might be silly questions but cant find the answers.
