Fitting a new HDD .. Solved

Hi Guys,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, no doubt someone will send me in the right direction if not.

I'm trying to install a new HDD via eSATAp on a Xtrend et7100 v2 on openVix 5.1.027. WD 320Gb drive
I formatted it in NTFS and connected it and tried to mount it but no joy.
I've done some searching but they all seem to refer to an older form of Vix and the menu setups don't relate to the current Vix menus.

Hope someone can help or direct me to somewhere that can help.

Well, I sussed it.
I found a bit of software that let me format the hdd to Ext4, installed, mounted and being tested.

Cool. I was just thinking it needed to be initialised.

Strange way i think when you install hdd into box you use the box to install/setup your hdd or usb first before setting recordings.
