ET8500 QUAD TUNER FML!!! FLASH FAIL (Edision OS Mini & Xtrend ET8500)

:beg:Good morning Forum Members & Satellite Set-up Gurus ;)
I attempted a reflash (with VERY Limited knowledge other than the 'How To' print out) on both my Edision OS Mini and Xtrend ET8500 and although I've got things back up (HD Blue Style) on the Eddy I can no longer Download Plugins i.e: IPTV.
The Eddy is on 4.1.016 (release).
ANNND I couldn't get the reflash to work on the Xtrend - also now on 4.1.016 (release))

I've a feeling I couldn't get IPTV cos of it being an old Image, but to be honest, I think I just wanna get the latest 'WORKING' images for both boxes and do a rebuild. Start again as it were like I did when I had them set-up in the beginning.... I knew I should've left them alone and her indoors is now doing my nut what with it being messed up an all......

I'd be here forever if I was to look for what I need in order to try the above, but if anyone has links, or a step by step guide as to what I need to do in order to get things back the way they were before I attempted all this malarkey I'd really appreciate it...... P.s: so too will the Mrs! :P

I have folders and various files on my laptop, but if someone can point me in the right direction I'll love you forever (In a Satellite Signal kinda way) lol - I have to laugh otherwise I'll cry!

Please be gentle with me, as I'm a true novice and require Lehmann terms if possible.......
 
Easiest way is to go menu, setup, vix, image manager then press yellow button on remote download the latest then restore the image you download

I get confused with all this at the best of times, but when it's for both Twin Sky and Cable tuners; well, Bamboozled isn't the word! :/

Tonight's going to be a very long night....

I have 4.2.026 at the read for both Edision & Xtrend.
Edision is up and running but with 4.1.016 (release) and with no IPTV.
Where do you guys even learn to do all this?! :/

They will just need a software update as I haven't got round to it yet.

There are instructions included. Make sure your line is backed up before you flash.

My Xtrend was already on .023 and the reason for my flash was so that I can update. Cos with the .023 I couldn't update either of my boxes for some reason...... :/
 
hi Willo, the back Willowbuild has worked.... I have BBC ONE HD up but not working..... Timeshift error.....
 
as i remember feeds were cut to images below 0.23 i think as things changed,later images plugins worked,bbc1 hd should work on sat as not encrypted.
 
I can get sky, but no Virgin channels.... :/
Checked the NET ID and it's the closest option For Colchester, Essex (00011 IPSWICH)

All updated but can't get plugins on the Edision e2

Updated to .026 as well...

No SkyQ for me this weekend... Her indoors threatened that if I don't get it sorted by Saturday then she's calling sky...... Phew!
