Freezing problems

It was a provider issue for me, got a new line 5 days ago, & it's been spot on ever since. Can't fault it at all

Got real bad today, freezing every 30 seconds for a couple of seconds, West midlands, Discovery history. Might try another line provider to see if that stops the freezing.

I'm in West Midlands also, true it's doing my head in as well, but to make things worse my provider is abroad.

Jumping on this thread, mainly to ask a question regarding this freezing..
I had a problem previously (a couple of months ago) where my box would freeze and I would have to re-start the cam every time as it never automatically came back (like It used to do).. Now would that be a problem with the cam, Openvix or provider or something else?

Does anyone know if this issue affecting everyone ie is it to do with VM messing with ECM timers or it provider related?

I see, you mean the cw0 and cw1 lines?
I've just watched mine for a bit and they do change every ten seconds or so but not froze or flickered when they do

freezing starts when cw0 and cw1 both change at same time
cw0 changes 10 seconds fine
cw1 changes 10 seconds fine
then it freezes and both cw0 and cw1 change at same time
if that's any help
i've had this problem before
starting a couple of years ago
but it would last 2 days then went fine
that was every 6 months or so
cccam on oscam atv 6.1
if thats any help

According to my provider, its because of low random ECM times.
He's working on a solution.

oscam connects both lines at once and just uses the quickest to respond so should not see a delay/freeze.

Hi Greg, mine only has i active Cam, and the box constantly freezes, sometimes for 5 - 10 seconds but also for 2 - 3 minutes????

soory Grog got that wrong I do have 2 CW, but still get lots of freezing

Scratch that, it seems abm has just delisted them replacing with sd , I saw channel listings and tried one. It cleared but was mix hd which has never gone. Jumped the gun there sorry guys.

multicas is not suffering the same problems.

ah ok. thought we had some sort of solution then at client end..as each day of freezing continues i find iptv more appealing..

Just out of curiosity, which Broadband suppliers are people using? If it's mostly Virmin or Sly, we can assume it's them causing the problem!
