FTP Build ?

I have had my box for a while with old build.
I would like to update to wooshbuild v5.
Can i just ftp the folder over to box and install from file, or do i need to use the usb method to flash.
reason is i have a mac and last time found it hard making a fat32 usb drive (tried many without joy)and had to use a pc from friend.
So if ftp folder to flash can be done, is there a guide

You can yes. I haven't bothered using USB method for a while since I worked out how to do it using putty but OpenATV lets you flash on the box too. You just have to navigate to the place you've stored the image when flashing.

i have ftp wooshbuild v5 to the media file on usb drive in box.
on the menu i go to setup, vix , image manager (the wooshbuild v5 is listed here).
can i just update to new build by clicking on this.
also how do i do a full back up before trying this.

Can't remember as haven't run vix for a while but isn't there a backup manager in that area of the menus? But yes you should be able to flash that way.
