Yea. It's strange. All my ports on Onkyo TX-NR676E support 4K and I didnt change anything other than updating the firmware. There is an update now. I'll give it a go. Thanks

Don’t for get to set your box up so it will play in 4K
Just because it’s set to 4K doesn’t mean it will show 4K as 4k

I'll do a scan tomorrow. I rarley scan these days. But will stick a 0.8w-23.5e tomorrow
Dont think i can get 39 and deffo not 26

What do you mean ?
I've usualy just set the resolution ... ?

Could what I am not doing be the reason I can't play most 4K downloaded films? Just black screen ?

There have been a few fixes for resolution in the latest ViX changelog.
ATV usually has the same bugs so maybe a software update is needed?

I think you need to change setting in

Menu
Setup
Video

Automatic res or something

If you go to a 4k stream and go to the information screen it will say it’s only 1080p showing
Werid

Ah nice. I've never messed auto res. Just checking it now and yes 2160 was set to 1080

It's also fixed the "stutter" of standard HD 720/1080 I would get with fixed 2160 as it no longer forced that res on =< 1080

The same happened to me, for what ever reason, my TV would only display up to 1080p max. To go beyond 1080p, you need to go into video settings and change 'Automatic Resolution' to disabled or native, you can then change settings up to 2160p also more options open up on these settings.

Yesterday it went to 720p but a reboot fixed it. Don't if it was an image fault or the amp presenting itself as 720p .. ? Or maybe even just a shitty hdmi cable. Will keep an eye on it
