Help a newbie please...BM5000s or BM7000s

Just bought a new BM5000s and still waiting on right to download here but wanted to ask a question (apologies if asked already)...What advantage does the BM7000s over the BM5000s? Need a second box and not sure if the living room would benefit from the BM7000s.
 
I'm similar too, Can not decide if the extra price is worth it?

I know the 7000 is a twin tuner, record 2 and watch 1 channel at the same time. the 5000 is a single.

Hopefully someone will give you more info, so I can see too. :peace:
 
maybe he was thinking of the blade combo sat+cable =2 tuner box?

recording may have issues if on different tps for recording and watching on a single tuner.

The BM7000s is being discontinued, the 5000 has a few minor faults
at the mo but they are basically the same in terms of function.

The remote and menus look better on the 7000.

I have gone for 2 x BM5000s, you have basically then got twin tuner capabilities
if you move the HDD between the boxes.

Recordings from 7000 wont play on 5000 and vise versa
 
No you cant watch one channel while recording, you can only watch the channel you are recording on both boxes
