Help Cable Box Watch One Channel Record Another?

With my Satellite box I have a S2 twin tuner and have 2 coax cables from my mini dish going into back of my box (2 tuners) this way I can record one channel while watching another. My question is in regards to cable I noticed with my VM (Virgin Media) box I had only one white cable going into it but I could record 2 channels while watching a 3rd. I wanted to know is there a cable box that can do this? Have only one cable (feed) but record one channel and watch another?
 
The Vu+ receivers such as the Vu Uno,Ultimo, Solo SE V2,Duo2 and Solo 4K all take Plug and play tuners and VU+ make a DVB-C/T/T2 tuner that allows one feed connected but actually is a dual tuner the same sort of working as the official tivo box has one input but inside has 3 tuners.

Most other receivers that take P&P tuners such as the Et8000,10000, Gigablue Quad plus and a few others only offer a single tuner so you need 2 x tuners and 2 x cables to feed each tuner to do exactly the same as the Vu+ can with just 1 feed
