help needed after setting up the box?

now you posted on other post of ip having long term issues,box needs a sat signal + working not dodgy internet connection.
 
Mate you are understanding me, the internet connection isn't dodgy but I have had done issues over time.

But it's been really worse, worse than ever since last few days, since setting up box, cables etc.
 
have you removed the splitter and connected back up same way as before box?
box only needs the lan cable plugged into box so no messing with the cable coaxial cables.

any are issues posted with lan provider?
 
Ye I did remove all cables before and connected it back up again and short while later internet dropped connection

It seems dropped connection/intermittent connection are common with the ISP.

So you see the issue I am with, I'm not sure if they can fix it, I am just baffled on what to do.

I thought VM internet was one of the better ones, it's fiber.

I am lost on what to do. Sell the box and the kit? I know the drop connection and intermittent issues will persist and there is no permanent fix.

Tbh the previous box was no way as worse as this one with the internet issues.
 
If it's your ISP get in touch with them, just hide your box when they come round.
Tell them it's the internet connection to your computer you have issues with.

Add ROI in your providers then run a scan using ABM

Your right bees I will have to contact them, but if I'm being honest they never solve the problem and they will say nothing is wrong. So I am out of ideas how to fix the internet connection then.

Sorry for asking you this mate but how do I add ROI in providers and run ABM?

Will I have to reset EPG?
 
I am on TV providers on the crossepg menu but the ROI provider is not there?

I have put ROI as a provider but the Irish channels are not showing. What am I doing wrong?

there is no cross epg for ROI only uk

abm as you say go sd as no hd channels on sat now and also choose ROI for SD

you will need to run a new abm scan to list new channels.


wonder if bees could run a uk scan to check channels of how many ??
also rerun a ROI scan only to check results of how many ??

you up for it and no is not an answer lol

because you have uk section and irish section=2 i only use ROI as thats where i am based.maybe bees or other users cad add to this?
 
@ bees done a runner when i asked for scan details of uk and roi lol

others would have to post in their abm setups for both.
