First off, youll need to download an image, this can be downloaded from your usual satellite forum. Once downloaded, the file will be compressed, so unpack it directly onto a USB stick. Ensure the file is named TM800_update.bin with no extra date or version numbers in the file name. Also make sure the file is not in another folder on the USB stick, it has to be available on the root of the device, this means that when you open you memory stick in ‘My Computer’ the file is one of the first things you see, without having to open any other folders on the device.

All of the following can be carried out without connecting to a TV or PC.

Now you have your prepared file on a USB stick, you are ready to fix the receiver. Turn the power off and insert the USB stick into any USB socket on the receiver. Turn on the power switch on the rear, while at the same time, repeatedly pressing the POWER button on the front of the receiver. The display will show TECHNOMATE, and will then change to MINIROOT. If after 15 seconds it says STARTING, turn the power off and try again. Once MINIROOT is displayed, you can stop pressing the button, and after a few seconds, the display will change to an IP address via DCHP from your router. If the receiver is not connected to anything, then the IP will display 127.0.0.1. Now press the MENU button on the front of the receiver, and it will start to read the file and flash the image onto the receiver. Once this is completed, you will see SUCCESS on the front display, you can now turn the receiver off and back on at the rear, and start the setup wizard.

The whole process can be viewed on youtube here YouTube - ‪TM800HD flashing and setup wizard‬‏
