HW icon in IPTVSmartersPlayer pro

Just installed and have active sub on this player,on viewing content on built in player I see a HW icon encircled what is/does this do,like a curious cat I pressed it the circle changed colour and the picture became jerky,it took me a while to get the picture back to normal so the obvious question is what's it's purpose, have browsed for answers but couldn't find one...G

It's to do with decoding picture.
You have the option of either software or hardware decoding

In software the picture takes longer to decode and you get a slight blur eg watch F! channel when cars pass.
With HW on the picture is decoded faster and no blur effect

Thanks for your input chaps like most things new it takes a while to get your head round them,I still have an active sub with Smart Iptv but this player smarters iptv looks to be better
