Internet Issues will it affect box

hi people I'm new to all this my question is

if my internet connection is really poor (hardwired) will it make my box freeze and glitch (when DL get around 1.4mb)
if freezing and glitching is the norm what would be a fair amount daily

I'm currently testing lines but they consistently play up, i understand its not going to be perfect but I'm talking a lot

If your 1.5mb internet is stable and has a low ping that shouldn't be the issuer
