Is Broadband connection required?

​Perhaps some can confirm if a broadband connection is required to run MGcamd on a Solo2. Reason I ask is that I discovered my cat5 network cable was inadvertently disconnected from the router and the satellite receiver was still working.

yes you do need broadband to run all this type of sat box.

not for the free to air chanels, but yes for the paid channels
