Is IPTV the Platonic ideal of internet whining?

Those of us who can remember a pre-internet world i.e. pre 1996 or so can sometimes find it amusing how much people get grumpy about in relation to the internet. Back when we had to use Encarta and phonebooks, the idea of Wikipedia and Google would have blown my minds.

Thus, IPTV. Yes, it buffers. Yes, it's unreliable. But the idea that I could have TV channels from Finland, India, the USA, Abu Dhabi, and a dozen or more other countries - in my LIVING ROOM - is still pretty freaking baller. Like, legit guys.

But instead of being astonished by the fact we can watch the freaking Montenegrin soccer league, we get grumpy and agitated because we can't find PSG vs Liverpool in 60fps.

Thus: is IPTV the platonic ideal of internet whinging?

if only iptv was available on this back in the day.

Kids these days will never know the struggle of the early days of the Internet. I remember not so long ago downloading some Linkin Park Music video in the early 00's on Limewire only to find out it was a dude f***ing a chicken.

Used to love going round to my mates after school uploading dodgy videos to limewire and watching everyone download it to find out its some dodgy porn lol

2008? - I'd had a PC for over ten years by then...i'm old
it had Windows 95 on it and I got a CD from someone with W98 and installed it, it was sleek as a freshly buttered bannister at the time, although we used to get the 'illegal operation' message every few hours:

From what I remember.
98 was good. 2000 was good. Millennium edition was diabolical. XP was good

2008 That was my first purchase after my dads hand me down that looked like he had nicked from my old school hmmm.....

My first computer (parents one) was a Compaq Pesario 486sx. My mate lent me a racing game and it required a 486dx. Nothing has changed since then, tech moving so quickly and always needing the latest gadget.
And also playing the skiing game on Windows, where the yeti would chase you after a couple of minutes playing.
