Is there a way to extracting the contents of rootfs.bin

I've tried various tooks like bchunk and other ISO utilities but all failed.

I want to extract some settings from a flash file.

Is there a way to do this?

I've never had any success but I just came across this:

What are you trying to extract, is it specific to a certain box?
On ARM boxes rootfs are not bin files and can be extracted with WinRAR.
