Issues when scanning channels

wrong info used in scanning if only 4 channels come up in auto scan which takes 20+ minutes

Double checked and it is the same as all the other boxes I have used, the only thing that pulls them al through is ex cw however upon using this the freezing and juddering is crazy there is one suggestion a page back that I am going to try tomorrow, cheers people.

enter these details and manual scan and see what pops up

Not done it manually before so thats another thing ill try tomorrow thank you for the suggestion, fingers crossed ha!

Would videoing the process help? To show how many frequencies it goes through? Thank you.

if correct info is entered it should pickup channels straight away,it will also say if a signal is present,2 mins and you will see

are you getting channels 1-5 in SD ?

I am in Burnley using a technomate TM nano and using cable. I'm running vix 5.1 which sorted the narration problem and on my setup for tuner B it says -
Tuner type - DVB-C
configuration mode - enabled
Network ID - 41048
Used service scan type - provider
Country - united kingdom
Region - virgin media UK (all systems )
Everything runs perfect, hope this helps

what settings on your cable tuner are selected@gravehead like qams etc?

On manual scan they are -
Tuner - tuner B DVB-C (external)
Type of scan - predefined transponder
Transponder - 706.75 MHz 3/4 6952 256 - QAM
Network scan - yes
Clear before scan - no
Only free scan - no

In the end I scanned using 41048 ex c & w and it is all fine now, thank you all for your help!
