M3u alternate

Hi TK’s
Recently tried a request to a seller for trial of M3u for gse on ipad , ( for may be future ref)
However he tells me m3u very unstable and does not use this format? My current m3u is fine “no probs”
What is the alternate to m3u & is it better

He could mean the service is locked to the MAC address of your device instead. You would go in to the settings on the iPad or your IPTV app, find the MAC address, then give it to him and he connects his service to it.

I got the impression from him that the stream/ file was in a different format? Although mac related , how would the file be generated other than m3u & is this a better more stable file
