just got mag254 off a friend but when it boots up it says wrong signature i downloaded file but when i tried to download it on bootleger it said file not there but ithere was no light on stick tried on another box and it was working is box done for good thanks
 
your a bit vague with your info buddy,what did you download,whats bootleger??...whats the light on the stick about.
Try posting again with more info and a better description on what youve done and what you need.
 
When it boots up, it would state that it is lock, and contact your vendor, all you have to do, is got to the portal, remove the old URL,from portal 1, then replace it with your new URL.....

It is neccessary to update on Public manufacturer firmware from Bootloader (BIOS) menu using multicast or USB&Bootstrap (we recommend to update using multicast).

If you will have the same message "Wrong digital signature" while updating from Bootloader (BIOS) menu using multicast, then your STB is signed with operator key and it can be updated on operator's firmware only. In this case you need to contact directly with your IPTV service provider.
 
done that but when i tried to update it i said file missing i noticed usb stick was not flashing then tried it on hard drive and there was no light on that either did not see your last line it must have been the server thanks for your help

Connect prepared USB-drive to STB socket (if there are two USB-sockets - you must use the rear one).

Power off STB MAG250/254.
  • Press and hold the «menu» on the remote (or the power button on the front panel).
  • Without releasing the «menu» (or the power button on the front panel) Power on STB MAG/250.
  • Select “Upgrade Tools”, pressing enter on the remote control to the right
    Select “USB Bootstrap”
    Connect the USB flash drive and click OK to confirm the beginning of the update process
    Wait for the update, STB will reboot.
  • Make sure your usb is formatted to fat32.
 
Hi all. Was directed to this site by a member on here .

Anyways, I have a problem with my mag 254. Basically my subscription for the year has now ended . I want to change providers or ideally stay with the same provider as I am extremely happy with subscription I have but a third party is involved.
The issue is, my box seems to be locked down.
If I go into setting and then servers , I can change the ntp server but after the reboot it defaults to old address.
Now when I go into system settings when the mag box is booting and change the ntp address in servers it defaults again but I don't think this where I need to update.
There is nothing in advanced settings or no option to change a portal address.
The only thing I know about my current subscription is that it is with the Greek crowd that was shut down for a while mid Janurary.

Any advice appreciated.
(Also the person who I get my subscription hasn't been contactable the last few days but I'm sure he wouldn't like to help as it would mean cutting him out)
