What are these and can they be used on the blade? I've asked for a test line and the provider has sent me one with CWS = at the beginning so just wondering what they are. He/she also gave me what they said in a CCAM line but starts with N. Is the C and N line the same?

I thought I understood a little but now confused

the CWS bit, goes into a newcamd.list file, you can upload to some receivers like a Skybox F5S.

Something like this:

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 60
CWS = myserver.gov.uk 18002 username password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan server1

This is not needed for the BM5000s. Where you put your information into a config file and upload.

Cheers, makes more sense

Blade doesn't take MG Camd lines lol

Ok here is a quick run through

C lines don't have a deskey so will look like this.( 01 02 03 ...... 14 is the deskey)

C: myserver.gov.uk 18002 user123 pass456 (Protocol CCam)

N lines look like this

N: myserver.gov.uk 18002 user123 pass456 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 (Protocol Newcamd)

MG Camd lines looks like this

CWS = myserver.gov.uk 18002 user123 pass456 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 (Protocol MG Camd)

Note N line and MG Camd are very similar, so you can change the front part of the line
and choose the correct protocol and it will work.

was always told to do it right mgcamd was for nline and cccam was for cline
now i see people putting nlines into cccam,your not the only one confused

It was the bloody skyboxes that caused the confusion !!!

In the menu it had "CCcam Client Setup"

Where you put in an N or C line and chose the correct protocol.

Nice on bees, thanks. One other thing, what are the 2 options at the top of the ccam menu? Twin and sssp (from memory) I have both switched to off but is that correct?

What exactly are these protocols for? do they need to be on? I have recently had glitches with SS News SD, but after putting both of these protocols on it has stopped....coincidence?
