Mounting NAS as HDD?

Okay so, on my Vu+ I've put in all the details for my SMB based NAS, and it's said that it's connected successfully. I selected the option to use it as a HDD, yet, it's not using it as one? I'm on Vix image. Any idea how? I want to use it for time shift and recordings.

it formats whole hard drive to format nas might not work also after mount so would lose all info on hdd
