Multi Line on OSCAM

If you have been given a dual line ie: sat and cable CWS = line then it needs splitting into 2 N lines. (Your provider needs to do this)

If your talking about a multi line that is a C then just enter it with no caid

Provider being unrepsonsive, would the multi sat and cable n line need to be split as cable format and sly format as the template you left in the server for that one line?

Yes it needs splitting into 2 N lines. Only your provider can split it.
For example:

CWS = greatserver 12345 Sony ngux 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

Becomes
N: greatserver 99999 Sony ngux 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

N: greatserver 88888 Sony ngux 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

So is there no way i can activate a dual (1 n line that is sat and cable) both working as two seperate readers without
Never done it but can't you enter the details into a cable reader AND a sat reader?
This method does work thanks for mentioning, i am currently using this method.

Downside is that if i'm using the sat premium channels the cables ones wont clear from the same line,

however i do have backup lines so i'm not really bothered but if i do get a chance i will ask the provider if he can send two seperate ones if not then it wont really matter,

Thanks

I've never got it working using a dual line, I had to get my supplier to split the line. I got 2 N lines back and put them in separate readers and they worked.
I do know 1 x C line can do both Services and more on just one entry (1 reader)
The CWS dual lines are not designed for oscam use. I suspect they was made for mgcamd only

yes I have mine setup for both cable and sat

in the reader section of the oscam.conf file you tell it which CAID to use for the line

1841 for VM 0963 for Sky

You have done this using a dual CWS line?

yes one line for sky and another for vm - and oscam swithes between the 2 lines depending what channel you select

You can have multiple readers for same CAID and configure load balancing to use the one with the smallest latency

The OP was asking about a dual line.
(Combined sat and cable line in one line)

with oscam each line will need a individual reader section in oscam.server (unless my assumption is incorrect in what the OP is trying to achieve)
You have your wires crossed.

A dual line is a CWS line that usually works in mgcamd. The OP want a to use it in oscam but the line needs splitting at Provider level. A dual CWS line won't clear both services (I can't get it working anyway, the OP is having the same result as me.)

Unless provider issues the line as multi in CWS with 2 ports maybe it isn't possible to then go and split it in OScam?!
