My Line Posted on the Internet !! How can this happen?

Mclud

Newbie
So it appears my line has somehow been posted on the internet and my supplier is not happy and now I don't appear to have a sub..... my screen is blank and I'm gonna miss my football tomorrow. !!! :((

I don't blame him but how do these hacks get hold of your log in details and post on a web page for people to use for free....?

Gutted that this can happen so easily...

need advice and feedback on the subject??

What do I do next?

Get my money back?

Get my supplier to issue new user details?

Before we go any further, please do me and you a favour, do not mention your supplier name on here, it WILL get you a week ban.

Now to try help you out,
1. Was the supplier from here? (if from here, pm me the name, I may be able to help you)
2. how did your line get online?
3. If it was your fault because you asked ofr help loading it somewhere and gave your details, it is your fault, and maybe grovel is the answer, don't threaten to report as a first course of action.
4. how long have you had your line?

Give as many details of your problem as possible, and it will give us as much a chance to help you as possible

Cheers

The conversion websites can steal your details and basically create a copy and link for all to see and share - until it gets banned.

When I say conversion sites I mean those which can convert an m3u file to a bouquet file or the other way around.
Maybe creating a short url on a website.
As above, a third party has shared it.
Router port open so you can access your box from outside your home

I am not saying you have done any of the above, but they are possible ways.

Servers that were giving out m3u lines for any iptv app are the ones being hit now.
You were looking for GSE iptv sub and these are the types being hacked and put on the internet.
Providers with any sense now will not give out m3u lines and only use mac code connections which are server controlled.
I doubt you will get another line as your reseller has probably been banned from the server as well so if you get another sub from anywhere then go the mac code route is my advice.

I have a zgemma H2H or perfect player to view IPTV

Can these be mac controlled ??

H2H can use xtream app which is mac code controlled but does have it's problems.
Script for bouquets is better as more difficult for the harvesters to find.
Perfect player in my opinion is a no go as a lot of the m3u links get copied and especially when people start using tinyurls on them.
Supposed to be secure but i have my doubts in that respect.

All - a Warning --- don't ever buy a years sub - it's dangerous to think IPTV is here now and is reliable - I don't know if everyone has suffered but please be warned. You don't get the protection you think you get ....

You can loose your sub just like that even if you have paid a years sub

You are ALWAYS better off just getting a month by month sub.

Trust me on this as I am finding out the hard way.

Read my previous posts.

I think this is just a case if being unfortunately. althought it is wise to take out monthly before commiting longer term.

I did two separate months first mate and still thought I was committing to a good sub and purchased a years sub.

Don't get me wrong sub was ok - problem appears to be resellers - they cannot commit to something long term as they are governed by someone else and s**t can happen unfortunately .....

Don't get a years sub unless your not bothered about loosing the money !!!!!

That's the rule to iptv only get a month at a time for if the inevitable does happen as you have been unlucky and found out seen it a lot of times on forum people taking years subs out and then coming to forum saying has my provider done a runner or if you the supplier can be trusted then extend

with regards to buying a month at a time the math simply doesnt stack up imo.

monthly will probably cost you more than double the price of a 12 month sub over the year.

plus if the server goes down youre going to lose your monthly sub anyway :grin:

You were probably committing to a good sub from a decent server.
It's your responsibility to safeguard the line details which somehow were leaked over the internet.
90% of the time that is caused by the user themselves in something they did.
The result is you lost a years sub cost @£50/£60 and the server owner had his server/servers shut down at a cost of £1k upwards as he had to resource them.
Your reseller was probably banned from future business as that is the line being adopted by the owners now.
Your concept of resellers is totally incorrect as well.
I know a few server owners and they all work the same way.
They either buy their own servers or rent hosting from a supply company.
95% then buy links/services from a specialist company that does not deal with the public.
So are they now the provider or a reseller ?
What's the difference ?
They don't want to deal with thousands of individual clients so they use resellers to become the buffer.
Tens of thousands of people run iptv via a reseller without issue.
Your were maybe unlucky but don't tar the whole setup with the same brush as there are a lot of genuine providers/resellers out there.

It happens all the time any server can be hit and m3u playlists found.
Probably poor security at the server end allowing hackers.to walk straight in.
The server should offer another line to you.has obviously your not going to publish your line on linr

Do you have the slightest clue of how this all works ?
Do you think servers leave a welcome sign out for free lines ?
Hackers if persistent enough will get into almost any system but hacking a server for a line is hardly their lifes ambition.
Servers don't generally have an m3u playlist to find as these files have to be individually generated.
Therefore when one is published online it's because it has been obtained from a users device or tinyurl/app use etc.

TBF if you google an IPTV m3u line right upto the user /pass section and set it for only results from last week or so [eg http://example.dns.com:8080 ] then you can see all the free m3u lines posted on the internet from that period

they will almost always be something like

http://example.dns.com:8080get.php?username=david1&password=david1&type...

where the name and password are easily brute forced /guessed.

lazy resellers not assing to generate safe passwords. if your server generates no hits then you have a good secure set up.

jesus, just trawled one these free m3u sites, here's a sample off a list of free m3u's posted on one site:

username=b11&password=b11&type=m3u
username=barbara&password=barbara&type=m3u
username=b11&password=b11&type=m3u
username=user2&password=user2&type=m3u
username=2604&password=2604&type=m3u
username=1526&password=1526&type=m3u
username=bal&password=bal&type=m3u
username=baba&password=baba&type=m3u

only 5 had secure passwords and of those 4 also had secure usernames.

All of those from resellers users who have no idea what they are doing.
Servers i use do not allow same details for username/passwords and in most cases are auto generated and use bloody characters that look the same (Il1) so sometimes a pain to get working.
These are all monitored and edited/deleted if found not to comply.
Common sense and a bit of care can avoid all of these issues i have found.
