Just got VIrgin media installed, I have a formuler f1 box with cable tuner built in.

Question how do I get my f1 box connected as well as the v6, what do I need.

Never had VM at anytime so all new to me.

You will need to split the cable - 5-1000mhz good quality splitter, Technetix etc.

You need a splitter (5 - 1000 Mhz) and bit of cable with f-connectors

I have that, going in to a 1 to 3 way splitter
Works great

But that might be a bit expensive for it mind

You shouldn’t really need it. A none powered one will do it, depending on your signal strength

Was thinking of the expense but don't want to buy a non powered one if I still have to buy a powered one.

So the sig strength determines what you buy?

Signal level can have several contributing factors - distance from cabinet (cable run length), quality of cable, good fittings (f connections), quality splitters etc. etc. there's also different tiers in the street cabinet, they usually put longer cable runs and poor signal strength connections on a higher tier.

Understand what your saying bud, this is a full clean install of fibre, ie FTTH , cab is only about 10 meters from my house everything is brand new.

So just need to know what splitter I need to run my F1....Thanks bud
