Need help updating frimware on a Netgear range extender FTP

Hi guys can anyone give me any help on how to update the firmware on a netgear range extender. It's currently stuck on just a green flashing power light, tried the factory reset button but it doesn't change anything. Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

does it need updating or is it a connection error as needing all lan devices rebooted?

From what I've read online already it's a firmware issue. I only use it for 1 bedroom that doesn't pick up my routers signal and everything else is still working fine, all with a connection from the router. Hope that makes sense mate, i'm not all that clued up on all things computer related but just enough to get by.

I was able to access the firmware update through my phone yesterday and it seemed to get stuck about halfway then gave up. I left it then this morning it's just been doing what I said above.

Might help but also a model may yield better results =)
