Need to clean pre-loaded Android box

I want to completely clean my android box and upgrade Kodi. It came pre-loaded with loads of adon stuff. If I do a factory reset all that stuff stays on. Anyone any advice on how to zap it all. Thanks.

Clear the data/cache for kodi in apps.

Yep tried that and it reloads all the same stuff again.

I also uninstalled KODI and did a fresh install. Something causes a big conflict and the box freezes up. It came with the TVBoxDirect stuff on it.
