New 4k Cable receiver

Hi All, Ive just got a new oled tv & i have a miracle box at the moment but thinking of upgrading to a 4k hdr box! I have a few questions will the 4k box display 2160p or does it upscale the picture? Are virmin streaming 2160p yet? Last question obviously what is the best box for my needs? Not really interested in recording,but a twin cable tuner might come in handy i suppose! ;)

If you only want a cable only twin tuner I would go for the Mutant HD51.
£169 and it's the fastest box I've got..... and I've got a few!

... as for 2160p v 1080p ....... Haven't tried it on the Mutant but on the SF4008 I can't see any difference!...... Perhaps it's my eyes!

Waste of time, virgin don’t have uhd. As they have moved to cardless boxes when they do get it there’s no guarantee it will even work with cs so I’d stick with what you’ve got.

You can download 4K content though. All my boxes have my NAS mounted and I can play anything from there.

Not on cable

but cable is broadband and many things can run on that.
netflix,plex,and many more.

But that wasn’t the question, there is no 4k content on cable therefore buying a 4k capable box is pointless. A 4k tv can play many different 4k formats via a hard drive or usb so no need to buy a new cable box.
