ill be interested in this, got a skybox f5 at the minute to start me off and see if i could get it all working, thanks to techkings and all the helpful people on here i did, so thanks for the info on the blade 5000 :)

BM7000s is about £150

BM5000 is advertised for £80, can't find anymore info

Could be their version of F type boxes, have seen some 7 day EPG linux boxes for (Ibox) for £90

so may have a full EPG, that's my best guess.

It says in the video it is wifi and 3G ready. and it has a VFD display. (whats a vfd display lol)?

Their website Blade Media says it has the Blade Online function as well, which to my mind is an awesome function.

Like others have said, it is on ebay for £79 and was released yesterday according to their facebook page.

Certainly looks interesting and they do support their boxes very well. Blade Online gets updated all the time.

Cheap too.

Just found out a VFD display is a vacum florescent display. So it has scrolling words and stuff there, instead of just a number display.

Google is my friend ha ha.

I have tried a few places to see if I could find patched firmware
but at the mo, nothing is doing from what i can find.

I was going to buy one once I new the firmware was available
and sell on my F5.

The info I got is that the box is just out and only official
firmware is available at the moment.

I was wondering if it needs to be patched, things have moved on
quite a bit since they brought out the BM7000.

After all skyboxes are supplied with all the menus required, VU boxes
are supplied with a choice of images pre loaded.

Can't find a menu to put the line in ?

You used to be able to press 9991 on the remote to bring up
the menu as long as the firmware was patched.

Did your supplier give you any clue what needs to be done ?

thats the one mate ive tried 9991 but nothing i put the new firmware on from blademedia and no supplier didnt say anything might ring him tomorrow just nothing out

only ever used skybox but watching this tread with interest, thinking of buying one. how does this box or the 7000s compare to skybox with the new epg/timer function plugin released for their stb's in general ?

I have sent you my Email, if you send them to me I can upload them for you
and the members can use them.

This will be a big step forward as I can't enter a line at the moment.

Box looks ok if we can get a line into it.
