New Chromecast

Hi, just wondering if anyone has a new Google Chromecast yet and if anyone has treated sideloading an APK?

Smarters etc is what I'm thinking?

Good to see new chromecast actually competing with the fire stick.

First gen and second gen chromecast didnt have the option I believe to sideload apks.

For IPTV many apps such as tivimate, sly q one, XCIPTV.

I dont believe its out in the UK just yet.

Believe release date is 15th-16th October in UK as already out in US.

would this be of any use for IPTV using IPTV smarters PRO?

Yes the new one will allow you to sideload apks like the fire stick and works near enough the same as the fire stick.

Can a Google chrome cast be connected to a hdmi cable that is already connected to a TV ad opposed to plugging into hdmi on TV, my TV is on wall and cables are chased in wall so can't connect to TV and power behind TV as no additional power socket.

Can use a Hdmi switch where hdmi goes to eg Freeview box , plug chromecast and freeview box into switch , then hdmi that goes to tv goes into output of switch

I have a spare hdmi cable connected to TV can I not just connect it to that as don't have a free view box

They're both male ends, you'll need a joiner.
