New to me TM500 super

I saw and bought in a car boot sale a TM500 super. I bought it because I recognised the name and it was cheap lol. It receives the FTA channels but after that I am lost. I have a Skybox and a cline which will allow me to have a second box in my house. I believe I can use the TM but, probably due to it's age, there is not a lot of info available. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
 
Firstly Satman thanks for your reply. But, as I am an old fart, I haven't a clue what the abbreviations mean. I know I will have to put some sort of image on the TM then put my cline in but, again pleading near senility, is there an idiots guide on how to do this and where to get the relevant files?
 
I am in exactly the same boat someone has give me a Technomate T500 but unsure how to get the channels on, I presume I need to put a image on?
