New xteend setup Issues, Signal strength?

Hi guys

I setup my friends et7500 last week. He's on the same sub as but he's getting freezing. Tried at my place and his box is fine

I have a meter to check the signal strength and attentuators if needed, just wondering what the ideal Db signal should around?

Freezing or pixellation? there's a difference.

Anything over 70% SNR on the box should give a good picture.

It's freezing only, no pixelating

SNR is about 57%

I was told I had to make sure the incoming signal shouldn't be too high or too low

Any help is appreciated

With V*rgin Media, it's easy enough to log into router to get downstream and upstream power levels.

All within range there ... check cables and splitter.

Also check network ID.

Have replaced the splitter with an identical one and made sure all connections are tight. Been good so far. Thanks for your help

out of curiosity on the downstream and upstream what range should they be in

Downstream power should be between -6 and +10 ... the RxMER should be above 35db (Ideally 37/38) and for the Upstream with 2 channels locked on QAM16, it should be between +23 and +55
