Newbie dilemma - chicken and egg!

OK - apologies if this is in the wrong place but I'm a tad frustrated. I have just bought an OpenBox V8S and am looking for general guides and tips - but most of the (what looks like) good stuff seems to be posted as attachments which I can't access because I haven't made enough posts. Trouble is - until I work out how to use the damn thing I can't post anything of any use other than to ask dumb questions which are probably answered in the attachments. Which I can't access! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
