Hi everyone. I am new to IPTV and so apologise if asking daft questions.

I have a Samsung smart TV connected to standard TalkTalk broadband which is very stable with 12meg download speeds.

My questions are:

Is TalkTalk standard broadband fast enough for IPTV and do I need to use a VPN as TalkTalk will slow/stop my access to IPTV?

I think they say 10-15 meg for IPTV so SD will be fine but HD might struggle a bit. Some providers have got around the blocks so you might not need a vpn but using a vpn on 12 meg broadband I doubt your internet would be fast enough to run IPTV as it will throttle what speed you have.

12 Meg will run iptv but may struggle with hd and fhd as for vpn your speeds would be reduced even more with vpn best to do is take a couple of tests and see how it goes mate

It will depend on how much the VPN slows things down.

I would say if other people are going to be using the internet you will also have problems.
