Cable No pause or rewind

I've just copied the instructions from my guide

Menu
Setup
System
Recording and Timshift settings
Recording settings
Default movie location should be media/hdd/movie


(If u are using a large enough usb/HDD u may want to go to
Menu
Setup
System
Rexording and timshift settings
Timeshift settings
Ensure timeshift location is showing: media/hdd/movie/timesshift
Autorecord is showing media/hdd/movie
if you want enable Autorecord
Autostart ts after 30secs or whatever.
As it is u must press pause to start timeshift)

Right, when I select Timeshift location it's showing /media/hdd/movie but I cannot add /timeshift to the end of this, only /movie OR /timeshift. When I agree to continue I get an error saying the directory is not a valid partition type. Any ideas?

Is it initialised? Check the mount and yes sorry media/hdd/timeshift

Do you have the instructions to hand to initialise to hand please? Has been done previously but not sure if it's been messed up with all my efforts trying to get the pause/rewind to work.

Initialised now. Will try this again and report...

Press blue button, Mounts, Device manager Mount should be media/hdd if not press green to setup mounts press right to change to media/hdd green to save then try to setup timeshift

Sorted! Massive thanks for your help fella. Now drawing the remote control symbols with explanations of what mum has to do to pause rewind etc
