Hi there noob gumbo450..
First off I would suggest that you have a read through some of the threads in the forum, first starting with bare bones setup guide by kiddac to give you an insight how to get a head start setting the gemma up
It covers a few important things like what Lnb input connections on the back to use right through to plugins and how to install them.
Once you have read through the guide and followed the help it contains then pop back and start searching and reading to help find the answers you need. One person telling you to do this and one person telling you to do that will not help you understand the box. Hands on is the only way to get along.. Most general questions and problems you will bump into will have already been asked and answer'd
