My v8s says software version is nowbox m9s 10 072016 88 sure it's not right any ideas

You have a cloned box, firmware for clone boxes is here, http://www.openbox.cm/index.php?c=article&a=type&tid=29
Try loading the "Old version" first, then the "New version"

Thanks mate works ok now says no signal up dated channels still no signal

Ensure you have ticked No15 in sat list.
Check LNB settings, should read 9750--10600
Now do a single sat blind scan.

Says no program found

Only 2 possible faults----
1] the clone firmware has corrupted the chipset
2] check your dish and cable for alignment and connections.

Ok I'll check. the signal is only 31% quality is 10%

I've checked my sky box on Sat dish that was plugged into v8s it works ok

Your box is corrupted--possible tuner failure, we've had lots of those sent in for repair but not worth the trouble.If a reflash and scan doesn't work then try on a friends dish--if still no good then it's a bin job. But we have had some sent to us that haven't worked on owners set up but does work on ours---so try a friend before you bin it.

If you look on the official openbox site, there's a new version of the v8 with the built in xtream app for less than £30. Just waiting for some reports on here before I purchase one for the bedroom.

All others are clone sellers--be warned.

I've got a gzemma now so it's going in the shed i think it's the tuner thanks for advice
