Hello all I'm looking into getting some kit together starting with one box until I can get my head around it all.

Need some advice about what box is best suited for me and is family friendly to use.

Looking for a box that can record etc. For the mrs so she don't moan lol.

At the moment I have a subscription from sky for hd in my living room but I have just cancelled 2nd box in bedroom so looking to replace that one as a trial.

Would a box effect my current sky sub if I was to fit it in the bedroom.?

Any advice I box choice and best place to buy etc. Would be gratefull.

I'm not a total noob tech wise as I have had knowledge of digital virgin boxes few years ago and there cards etc.

Will give u everything appart from the hd. In most cases. Its the gift supplier who unlocks content, but generally u get all.
 
Closed source so u have to wait ages for software updates.
Unreliable epg
Crap record if at all
Having to manually download and update channels.
Crap remote and sensor
Only single tuner

That's what I think of sky/openbox lol
