Hello all,
If I get a BM7000 (or altermnative receiver) could I potentially receive channels from Hotbird 6 satellite at 13° East as well as Sly channels? I am trying to get the Brazilian channel Globo Internacional which is broadcast from the Hotbird 6.
Is this a possibility or would I need a motorised dish and a seperate receiver for Globo?

Many thanks!

Thanks for this, cactikid. So, with a monoblock on a fixed dish it would be possible - even with just a BM7000? I wouldn't need a seperate receiver for the hotbird channels?
Much appreciated.

any sat box will scan any sat as long as it is pointed to that one. a fixed dish with a mono block aims at 2 different sats like astra and hotbird from 1 dish,if you had a motorised setup you would have more coverage of the sky and get more sats.the only way of knowing whats open/clear as no encryption is used is to check the lists first.
have a look at something like is on satboxes.
