PS3's web browser

How good is the PS3's web browser in terms of functionality, performance, and general capabilities?

Is it capable of logging into forums like techkings, and saving files from direct download links? i.e.

www.example.com/movies/123.avi

You can log in to forums,but as to saving stuff i'm not to sure,the linux os may be needed in that regard(dont quote me on that),honest answer dan is i dont know,i have prescious little space left on the internal hdd i would'nt be in a hurry to try it

on ps3 you can go onto most sites, but cant save most things, its generally music and videos you can save :)

Cheers guys, if its music and videos it can download then thats awesome, just what i was looking for, saves downloading media from the PC when you can have it downloading through your PS3. If only there was a way to get a fully operational OS on to their to perhaps extract files? Not sure if the Linux OS for the PS3 has these capabilities. Will have to mess around with it when i get the PS3 in a few days.
