The point is that this is a replacement radio, this is a fiat 500 lounge 2017 but the radio was a lower spec and I bought a second hand head unit. I have had a lock code from different providers, always the same code but it doesn't work.

Is there any relation between the radio code and some sort of code stored on the car computer for the radio which also has to be updated?

I see I am not the only one with the same problem. Have changed the battery in my Fiat 500 and the radio got locked.. Firstly I tried 0000, 1234 etc, like in other cars, but now it doesnt let me to enter any codes at all.. Any ideas how to enter the code? And what code should it be?

I’ve been running an engine for two hours, but didn’t get a chance to put in the code. If I leave the radio on without running engine it turns off after 15-20 minutes. I'm confused :) Is it the only way to put in the code? Do I need to run an engine for 4-6 hours?
