I'm needing a security number, which is made up of a letter followed by three numbers, like S548
Sometimes this number like S548 follows the 8200... barcode number as shown in the second photo. Othertimes, as in the first photograph the security number is highlighted in a box..
See if you can find this number, ... we'll get the code sorted m8 :)

There is every possibility your radio has been re-coded to another code in the past, but..... I think you may have a 'code entry procedure' problem..
You're saying the code doesn't work... but what is displayed on the radio?
Anyway... take a look at the code entry procedure for your radio... that I've explained here, under steering wheel controls.. the last point is critical...
Renaults with steering wheel controls Hold the station select control for at least 3 seconds to enter code......
but before make sure this number 'Z094' is correct.. :)

Hi - thank you for this advice. I have double-checked the security code it is correct - Z094. I have also followed the entry procedure and think this is correct. (I start with four flashing 0's and input the four numbers to - 0980 and then hold down the button for about 3s after which there is a beep but the last number remains flashing and the stereo does not work).
I may be doing something wrong, but assuming my radio has been re-coded in the past, what can I do next please?

I've just had to have a new battery fitted and cannot find the code for the radio for my Renault megane.
