Here's some more info about the trojan and how Symantec suggests you should remove it, hope it helps (y)

Trojan.dropper

Code:
http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2002-082718-3007-99

lads i downloaded spywaredoctor ran a scan found lots a stuff and delete them all, then ran malwearbyts again and same two trojans came up.any ideas:cry:

Not trying to be nosey, but is all your software legit? The trojan.dropper occurs a lot when using cracks or keygens for software. You can navigate to it directly in your temp folder and see what other information may be associated with it or in the same folder and get an idea of its origin possibly.

I seen that as well Gman, and was trying to research it when you posted.

Yep, basically it's a vulnerability in that version of akamai download manager.

Uninstall it & run Malwarebytes again.

I never do like seeing the entries containing "extra menu items or buttons" although there may not be a thing wrong with them, they always make me nervous.

thanks for the interesting link on this Gman, have bookmarked the page for later

Paddy, have you tried booting your computer in safe mode, with system restore turned off and running a scan? sometimes they infect the system restore, just for persistence
